Safe Harbor Fiddler’s Cove Marina is known for providing top-quality service to discriminating power and sailboat owners. Home to a small yacht service team, highly skilled in the maintenance and restoration of boats. Fiddler’s Cove technicians are trained annually, at both industry service schools and in-house seminars, to tackle almost any conceivable mechanical, fiberglass, carpentry, finish, or rigging repair.
Facilities/Equipment: On approximately 3.5 acres, Fiddler’s Cove cares for more than 250 boats. A 35-ton travel lift equipped with a jib crane, a 20-ton Taylor fork truck, and a hydraulic trailer aid in this effort. A 20,000 sq. ft. building provides fire-protected, heated, indoor storage for nearly 80 boats, 64 of which are cradled in a 3-tiered rack storage system.
Mechanical: Our mechanical team is up-to-date on the latest systems and technologies. From gas and diesel engine installation and maintenance, to propeller shaft, strut, and driveline repair, our crew provides complete service, stem to stern. Given the large number of small boats in our care, our crew is also particularly well-versed in outboard and stern-drive service. In fact, we are a certified Mercruiser dealer.
Refinishing: Our finish department handles minor Awlgrip and Imron paint repairs and expertly applies and maintains both Cetol and traditional varnish. We also address fiberglass repairs and modifications.
Electrical: Electrical service is provided by sub-contractors who have an established relationship with Safe Harbor Fiddler’s Cove Marina. Working closely with yard management, we ensure ABYC standards are met on every project.
Carpentry: At Safe Harbor Fiddler’s Cove interior and exterior woodwork is skillfully managed by an experienced carpenter. Whether replacing toe rails or installing custom built-ins, we’re capable of making your vision a reality. Rigging masts may be stored up or unstepped for a full inspection before being stored inside on racks for the winter.
